What is a Bachelor of Business Administration?

The Bachelor of Business Administration degree, abbreviated BBA, generally is a 3-4 year degree in a business related subject. A BBA degree is not required for acceptance into an MBA program, but it is a great preparation if you are interested in entering a specific Master of Business Administration program. The BBA is sometimes referred to as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. The Bachelors in Science is not as common a degree as the Bachelors in Business Administration.

In a Bachelor Degrees of Business Administration program, you will prepare to plan, organize, direct, and control the functions and processes of a firm or organization. Course work will include a broad focus in general management theory, human resources management and behavior, accounting and other quantitative methods, purchasing and logistics, organization and production, marketing, and business decision-making.
